  4. This is a comment on the article bringing attention to Congressman Bobby Rush's House Resolution 45. It was very refreshing to see the name of the legislator, his party affiliation, and State named in the article. I propose that this information be further enhanced to list the legislative district and geographical area served so we know where the voters are who elected the legislator, and so his own voters are reminded that he is their representative and what he actually is sponsoring. Too often legislators are anonymous and articles only tell the public what "Congress" is doing. This comment is intended specifically for the authors of articles designed to inform the public.

  6. yes,I'm aware of HR45 but are you aware of S.B.2099 a provision in hr45
that can be taken out and sent to senate finance commitee to amend the
internal revenue service act of 1986
to require all gun owners to declare
ther guns on there 1040 tax return, and possibly requiring fingerprints and fee for owning a firearm. This can be done without a vote in the house or senate. We had better be watching these people every second or
they are going to pull a (slight of hand routine)and take away our 2nd amendment right before we even know it.

  7. I'd love to see anything on veteran issues and gun legislation. Also, anything on a Chicom pistol ( war trophy ) that fires a 30 cal mauser round.

  11. Dear Anonymous: HR 45 will die in committee, no one is interested. Senate Bill 2099, died in committee in the year 2000. It is not part of anyone's agenda. Please check these false reports, aimed at the uninformed, before you send them on as if they are real. While you are at it, look up how law is passed through the congress. No vote means no law. The Illinois Rifle Association is a good site to check on the FACTS AND THE FALSEHOODS. Spreading false information makes us all look dumb and we lose credibility when the real issues come up.

  12. Hey, does that pistol have a star on the plastic grips? and a connector on the right side that looks like a bicycle chain connector link sideplate? It is a Chinese copy of a Tokarev in 7.62X25 tokarev Lots available on the internet and from Sportsmans guide! Cheap! Some were made for civilian sale in 9MM Looks the same but barrel is bored larger! Try to put the bullet end into the end of the barrel! If a 30 cal is loose you have a 9mm.

  15. The fact that someone is TRYING to put this crap through should be a wakeup call to all.
The intent is still there whether they get it out of committee or not.
If we were at a party, and you caught me with my hand in some ladies purse in the bedroom where all of the coats and purses were on the bed, even though I didn't take anything, I would think your common sense would tell you that the intent was there.

  16. SouthTex: The Washington establishmnet needs to be watch and changed as soon as possible -- the entire Obama administration is laced with society haters like bobby Rush. He needs to clean up his own 'hood before he speaks nationally. We are close enough to the border where it is prudent to be armed -- one nevers knows who he will encounter - some poor hombre looking for work or some SOB carrying drugs or worse.

  17. SC.I have the Chicom 9mm star on the grips and love it. It's light and if you keep it clean it works well. great for target and plinking. Saves my 357 for real work.

  18. I was not aware of this bill. In addition to introduced legislation such as this, other restrictions pertaining to the 2nd ammendment could be attached as a rider to a bill totally unrelated to this issue. It is incumbent upon all 2nd ammendment supporters to monitor upcoming legislation and report these activities to each other so that State Representatives and Senators can be contacted by their concerned constituancy (us) to not support the bill. Our 2nd ammendment rights hang by a thread in this current political environment!

  19. According to a reply from the founder of Front Sight both of these bills will never make it out of commitee due to lack of support.

  20. Because of the HR2099 bill, I am concerned about proceeding with obtaining a CCW license. I do not like the requirements that will be placed on me as a law biding citizen and allow the IRS and other government agencies monitor my rights and my Second Amendment. Please let me know what your opinion is on obtaining the CCW license. I understand that I have until the end of this year to apply for the license.
